摘要

The damping properties of the flexural vibration for a composite rectangular sandwich plate with a viscoelastic core and composite laminated faces are presented. The damping analysis is carried out using the Ritz method. The elastic moduli of the plate are treated as complex quantities, and the shear modulus and loss factor of the viscoelastic core depend on the excited frequency. The present complex eigenvalue problem is solved by means of an iterative procedure, and the damped natural frequencies and modal loss factors are determined.
