摘要

The effect of large injection rates on the steady laminar compressible boundary layer in the front stagnation-point region of a rotating sphere with a magnetic field has been studied. The effect of variable gas properties, non-unity Prandtl number and viscous dissipation are included in the analysis. The nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations governing the flow are first linearized using the quasilinearization technique, and the resulting system of linear equations are then solved using an implicit finite-difference scheme with non-uniform step size.
