摘要

We have studied the conditions under which metastable phases are formed during the electrodeposition of metals and alloys. It has been proved that the major causes of metastable phase formation during the electrolyses of aqueous solutions are high dispersion and defectiveness of electrodeposits and the inclusion of nonmetallic impurities in the electrodeposits. A mechanism for the formation of supersaturated solid solution and of amorphous phases in the process of electrodeposition of binary alloys has been suggested.
