摘要

The Nuclear & Radiological Engineering (NRE) Department at the University of Florida offers an ABET accredited BS degree in Nuclear Engineering, a non accredited BS degree in Nuclear Science and Engineering, MS and PhD in Nuclear Science and Engineering. There are four graduate programs including Nuclear Engineering, Medical Physics, Health Physics and Engineering Physics. Currently, there are 9 full-time faculty and 10 affiliate faculty. The affiliate faculty primarily contribute to the Medical Physics and Health Programs. The 2002-2003 enrollment of the department was 52 undergraduate and 57 graduate students. This was an increase of ~30% over the academic year 2001-2002. Because of the increasing size of the student body, two new faculty positions have been created that are being filled in the 2003-2004 academic year.
