SCIENCE and NATURE published two papers, respectively, in 2002 about the possibility of having nuclear reaction in liquid using ultrasonic cavitation. Tritium was detected, but the amount of tritium was much more than that of neutron radiation, and the estimated temperature inside the cavitation was much lower than expected. This discrepancy between the experimental facts and the conventional concept aroused the suspicion about the experiment. However, the selective resonant tunneling model just predicted this phenomenon and found the support from this experimental fact. In other words, this is the strong evidence of condensed matter nuclear science (i.e. nuclear reaction is affected by the state of the condensed matter due to resonance).
