EPR: Bringing a Proven International Technology to the United States Market

Similar to the experience in Finland, introduction of the EPR into the United States regulatory environment may require minimal changes; however, this proven international technology will remain globally consistent with the design of its European sister plants, with a fully established United States design basis. The focus on international deployment during original plant development ensures that EPR aligns itself well with current United States requirements. This fact, combined with the deployment of two operating units in Europe, makes EPR the logical candidate to lead the nuclear renaissance both domestically and internationally.
