The Semiconductor Materials and Radiological Technologies (SMART) Laboratory at Kansas State University (KSU) is actively involved with research on various detection technologies for neutrons and gamma rays. Crystal growth, detector modeling and design, detector fabrication and characterization, and detector electronics packaging are all under development.
