The UPP has been beneficial to the WU and CSU students. It provides them the opportunity to perform internships at Dominion Energy in Virginia, Pacific Northwest Laboratories in Washington State, The Ohio State Nuclear Laboratory, Perry Nuclear Power Plant, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Chicago. Also, the nuclear industry has benefited as minority university graduates from the program have gained full time employment at Idaho National Laboratory and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Chicago; and one of our graduates has been accepted as a graduate student in The Ohio State University Nuclear Engineering Program.
