摘要

The coupling of separate physics models to solve a larger problem and improve accuracy and efficiency of a calculation is not a new idea, however implementing them in an implicit manner and solving the system simultaneously is. Also the application to reactor safety codes is new and has not be done with thermal hydraulics and neutronics codes on realistic applications in the past. The coupling technique described in this paper is applicable to other similar coupled thermal hydraulic and core physics reactor safety codes.
