Integrated Digital Process Management for Nuclear Power Plants

The proposed Digital Applied Technology Ubiquitous Management (DATUM) is anchored to the so-called four-plus-dimensional (4~+D) Technology™ in the three-dimensional (3D) space and time plus cost coordinates, i.e. 4~+D coordinates [1-8]. DATUM is the inclusive technology that can be utilized to develop an optimized construction schedule and modularized design which can be operated and maintained according to computer-aided planning, engineering and management. DATUM aims to minimize the working hours resorting to the process optimization by real-time exchange of the design and process information on the ubiquitous system. Application of DATUM contributes to reducing the construction cost of plants by optimizing the component manufacturing procedure and the plant construction process. DATUM is applied to modularization and construction of the Optimized Power Reactor 1000 MWe (OPR1000) developed by the Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) so as to optimize the equipment production and construction process.
