摘要

The VHTR design characteristics are very different from existing LWRs. So it is essential to develop new regulatory technology for VHTR. The nine step approach methodology has been developed to evaluate the design safety of VHTR. The PIRT and event classification and acceptance criteria are being developed to supply the basis for VHTR licensing technology.
