Thermal Neutron Scattering Cross Sections of Sapphire at Cryogenic Temperatures

Sapphire neutron scattering cross sections for temperatures between 20K and 80K have been calculated using partial phonon frequency distributions generated by utilizing the ab initio force constant direct approach. This data represent a useful resource for researchers and neutron beam scientists when using sapphire at such temperatures.
