The Facility Safeguardability Assessment Methodology (FSA) (1) is a newly developed screening process that focuses a designers' attention on aspects of nuclear facility and process design that can most benefit from the application of Safeguards by Design (SBD) guidance. The FSA is a structured approach, and provides a tool for a comprehensive review of the safeguardability of a nuclear facility design.
