Forced convection experiments and heat transfer calculations were carried out with nitrogen flowing through a 16. 8 mm diameter cooling channel in a graphite test section. Flow regimes included laminar, transition and turbulent flows, covering Reynolds numbers from 800 to 10,000. The experimental data analyzed showed average reduction in the Reynolds numbers of 48% over 2.7 m length between the test section inlet and outlet.
