Impact of MAs Loading on Transient Characteristics of ADS System

摘要

In this study, the impact of MAs loading fraction on the transient of ADS system is analyzed. Two ADS transients with different MAs loading (from 30% to 80%) are simulated. It can be seen that ADS system is robust to MAs loading fraction in large variation range, and it is suitable for MA transmutation for its large safety margin and loading flexibility. This is only a preliminary research investigation of the safety performance of ADS system, and several items should be extended in the future work. The first one is the accident scenario and it can be analysis by coolant loop modeling, and the second one is the burnup-dependence which can be simulated by generating reactivity coefficient during fuel cycle.
