摘要

The simulation studies shown in this summary illustrates the possibility to imaging a day storage cask using muon tomography. The initial test of the muon position-sensitive detector also demonstrated the feasibility to use plastic scintillator and WLS fibers as muon detectors for imaging. In the near future, the study of impact factors on the spatial resolution of reconstructed image will be done. The whole scaled-down muon tomography system is being built. The test of the whole system will be shown in the full submission. Reconstruction algorithms will be optimized using the simulation results. Some new algorithms, including the multi-group muon scattering model, will be studied and applied to the project.
