摘要

The International Atomic Energy Agency is conducting a Coordinated Research Program (CRP) on High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor (HTGR) Reactor Physics, Thermal-Hydraulics and Depletion Uncertainty Analysis. The quantification of uncertainties in design and safety analysis of reactors is today not only broadly accepted, but in many cases became the preferred way to replace traditional conservative analysis for safety and licensing analysis. The purpose of this CRP is to establish a comprehensive benchmark framework to verify and validate the Uncertainty Analysis in Modeling (UAM) for HTGR designs.. The investigation of HTGR-specific designs is mandatory to demonstrate that gas-cooled reactors are benefiting from their intrinsic properties without concessions to the plant safety.
