摘要

The electrochemical behaviors of Nd in LiCl-KCl was explored. The Nd~(3+)/Nd shows a two-step reaction. Nd~(3+)/Nd~(2+) is determined to be a reversible but Nd~(2+)/Nd tends to be quasi-reversible or irreversible process. The exchange current of Nd~(2+)/Nd was estimated from the CV curve. At 773 K. the exchange currents are 49.19, 80.45, 107.27 mA/cm~2, respectively, for the concentration of 3, 6, and 9 wt%. The cathodic electron transfer coefficient is lower than 0.5. Difusion coefficient of Nd~(2+) is larger than that of Nd~(3+) but more work is needed to completely understand their concentration dependence.
