Tim Fischer keynote speaker at PWI annual convention

Former Federal Transport Minister, and long-time rail advocate, Tim Fischer, will be the keynote speaker at the Permanent Way Institution (PWI) 34th annual convention at Australian Technology Park, Eveleigh, NSW, on Friday 26 October 2007. The PWI has more than 400 individual members and 80 corporate members drawn from within the railway industry. More than 350 are expected to attend the convention. President Mark Harris said: "Our members cover a wide range of skills from 'grass roots' through to CEOs and managing directors which provide a very diverse cross section of the railway infrastructure industry.
