Welding Equipment and Welding Method for Body Frame

For the assembly of an automobile body, as shown in Fig. 1, an under body, side bodies, and a member bridging the side bodies are welded together to create a body frame. In the past, the body frame was assembled by positioning and fixing the respective members from the outside of the vehicle, as shown in Fig. 2. The side bodies were loaded on a dolly integrated with an assembly jig, which circulated to transport the sidebodies.
