No triumphalism: this is the current unofficial TCPA slogan. But it is difficult, reading the Government's new Draft Regional Guidance for the South East, to deny that we deserve to give ourselves at least a perfunctory pat on the back. After the huge tumult that followed publication of the Crow-Whittaker Panel report, back in the autumn, we could only have expected the worst. Instead, the new Guidance takes on board big chunks of the Panel's prescriptions - and these prove to be uncannily close to the TCPA's own ideas, long publicised, for the future growth of England's biggest and most dynamic region.
