Planning for healthy homes and communities - delivering healthy outcomes from new developments

This half-day seminar focuses on planning for and delivering healthy new developments. Now that public health responsibilities have returned to local authorities following implementation of the Health and Social Care Act 2012, this seminar provides an opportunity to consider how to integrate planning and public health when planning for new developments. The NPPF sets a firm foundation for integrated working and for planning to help meet local health and wellbeing needs by requiring consideration of local health and wellbeing strategies and public health evidence in the form of a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
