Linking the Social and Natural Sciences in Water Quality Trading in Ohio

21st century environmental problems ranging from global warming to pollution of the earth's ecosystems all have one thing in common: a necessary linkage of social and natural ecological systems involving human mismanagement of ecosystem complexity. The June 2008 release of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report "Climate Change and Water" notes that we can expect major environmental changes in the coming decades.
