On 17 April Eurostar reported strong performance in the first quarter of 2018 with sales revenues up by 9% year-on-year to £253 million while passenger numbers increased by 4% to 2.36 million. The positive momentum reported in 2017 has continued into 2018, with a further increase in the number of US travellers (up 27%) as well as growth in the business market (up 6%). Eurostar said that demand for the new London-Amsterdam service has been strong.
