Tekel's quiet and quite-confident new assertiveness was almost tansible durins an exclusive interview with its seneral manager, Sezai A. Ensari, in mid-April. The interview was taken on the Mohammed-and-the-mountain principle: Instead of traveling to Tekel's headquarters in Istanbul, Tobacco Reporter's correspondent spotted the opportunity to talk with Ensari during his short and intensive business trip to Bulgaria ― and went for it. The quintessence of the question-and-answer session: Tekel won't change hands at any price. Attack is the best form of defense. Don't just dominate ― intimidate.
