Sustainable Development is an answer to today's environmental (climate change, energy generation, biodiversity, soil and water quality, etc.) and social challenges (access to resources, respect of fundamental rights, social exclusion, etc.). To embrace Sustainable Development is to measure the impact of our decisions and actions on the environment and on human populations, both now and in the future. This is a matter of concern to us all: international bodies, government authorities, local municipalities, as well as businesses and private consumers.
