Dolan® is a branded high quality acrylic fiber which has been successfully uti-lized in various outdoor applications for more than 25 years. Dolan® is produced in Kelheim, Germany, via a spécial wet spinning process in which colored pigments are injected into the polymer solution before extruding it into the fiber. This spécial manufacturing process produces a fiber with unique properties : Dolan® has excellent color and weather fastness, high UV and abrasion résistance and very high sait water and chlo-rine water (swimming pool) résistance. The-refore, it is very well suited for the production of outdoor fabrics such as awnings, boat covers, sun umbrellas, garden furniture - and its most demanding application - fabrics for convertible car tops.
