Pour le tissage de lainage fantaisie, pour la réalisation de revêtement mural à effet granité, voici une méthode rigoureuse de création.%To successfully create balanced granites on dobby loom, with no striping effect, it is not an easy task. We achieve this using developed threading and pegplan patterns with large repeat. To draft large repeat fabric diagrams, we use the block drafting construction. The threading in figure 1 can be written down in shorthand, where each block is replaced by a dot (figures 2 and 3). Accordingly, all elements, plain weave, odd and even granite effects can be symbolized by a black or white square in the profile pegplan (figures 4 and 5). The following patterns are constructed on the same threading. In these variations, the square density is of one per line (figure 6) up to 4 squares per line (figure 9). The resulting fabrics can be a uniformly geometric design, or show a randomly mottled surface effect. The application of this weave construction can extend to multiple design fields such as apparel fabrics (wool and cotton fibers), as well as contract, mural fabrics.
