Peanuts get a roasting on the BBQ

German food manufacturer Stoltzenberg Nuss GmbH has broken out of the bag with a new nut product for barbecues. Original American BBQ Peanuts consist of an aluminium tray full of pre-roasted American Super Jumbo in-shell peanuts that is designed to be placed directly onto the barbecue once the outer packaging has been removed. After five to eight minutes, the hot roasted peanuts are ready to be eaten.rnKristina Engels, of Stoltzenberg Nuss GmbH,rnsays: "We are really excited to be launching this innovative snacking sensation in Europe. Available in time for the barbecue season, the conception of our product was based on the sociable nature of summer eating. We are expecting more consumers to take part in barbecues this year, as the trend for staying in and inviting friends and family round is being favoured over eating out."
