Alarm animates the essays in this book. This sentiment is useful to understand much of the informed opinion regarding US President Donald Trump. The unifying theme, if there is one, among the many contributors to this eclectic, wide-ranging collection is that Trump is publicly disruptive, and perhaps a danger to world peace. One essay, 'This is What Nationalism Looks Like', by Thomas W Zeiler, makes rather anxious comparisons between the current unsettled time in US politics and the interwar period when protectionism and nationalism encouraged instability in Germany, leading to the end of the Weimar Republic and establishment of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich.
