Major change to Llangollen Diesel Group

The Llangollen Diesel Group has been in negotiation with various parties resulting in major changes to its fleet following the eviction of 'Peak' No. 46010 (RM July p92). The fleet is now more manageable with three fully-operational ex-BR main line locos, including Class 37 No. 37240 and Class 47 No. D1566 Orion.rnThe third is a new arrival - BRCW Type 2 No. D5310 (26010). It was purchased from Matt Stoddon in full working order, having had its bodywork overhauled in 2006.rnA farewell run occurred at the Bo'ness ＆ Kinneil Railway on June 21, prior to its move to the Llangollen Railway in July.rnThe 26 will make its debut on scheduled trains onrnSeptember 26, but a launch into service may take place before then.
