Traction maintenance depots at New Cross Gate, for London Overground's East London Line extension (left upper) and at Derby Etches Park, for East Midlands Trains (left lower), were well under way in April, as these photos show. New Cross Gate will be home to the Class 378 fleet, currently under construction at Bombardier's Derby Litchurch Lane Works, while Etches Park will more than double the size of the existing depot, which is just visible in the right distance.
