The Dolgarrog Railway Society's ambition of developing a heritage line in the Conwy Valley received a huge boost at the beginning of June when 16 lorry-loads of rail and sleepers were delivered to its base at the site of the closed Dolgarrog aluminium factory.rnThe material, including 52 60ft track panels (providing around 1,040 yards of track), came from an industrial site in Stanlow, Cheshire.rnThe track has been donatedrnto the society by Ainscough Strategic Land, owners of the 40-acre Dolgarrog aluminium factory site, acquired from administrators in July 2008 following the 2007 closure of the factory.
