CLASS 91 No. 91114 worked the 06.55 Skipton-King's Cross on September 17, replacing the usual HST. POWER car No. 43290 caught fire near Northallerton while working the 07.54 Inverness-King's Cross on September 20. The set, with No. 43314 at the other end, worked e.c.s. to Neville Hill for repairs. VARIOUS mixed livery HST formations have been reported. On September 28, the 07.10 Leeds-Aberdeen had the regular East Coast (EC) formation with power car No. 43309, but was led by EMT-liveried No. 43073. When observed on October 3, it was top-and-tailed by EC power car No. 43315 and Midland Mainline-liveried power car No. 43074 with an East Midlands Trains rake and EC buffet. THE October 3 07.20 LincolnKing's Cross HST stopped at St Neots with a hot box on vehicle No. 42239, which was detached. DBS Class 67 No. 67022 and barrier No. 6340 ran south from Doncaster to St Neots on the following day to collect the coach and take it to Bounds Green.
