Barclay misses Ribble debut

Hopes that the overhaul of Dave Watkins' Andrew Barclay 0-4-OST No. 6 (2261/1949) would be completed in time for it to debut at the Ribble Steam Railway's September 17-18 steam gala were dashed. A steam test revealed a problem with the manifold inside the smokebox. The loco had passed a hydraulic test and was on-target to run when this issue emerged.
