'Santa Specials'on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway had to push their way through 18 inches of snow on December 4. One track was cleared by light engine runs on the Thursday and Friday. Santa'and dining trains were top-and tailed by steam and diesel to avoid using the intermediate loops at Levisham and Goathland.
