First ex-BR loco for Aln Valley

The embryonic Aln Valley Railway at Alnwick is due to take delivery of a Class 11 which has been bought privately for the project The Class 11 is No. 12088, which has been employed in the open cast coal industry at Widdrington disposal point, between Alnwick and Ashington. Thanks to Messrs Johnsons (Chopwell) Ltd, it has been acquired by AVR member Gordon Hall who will name it Shirley, in memory of his late wife.
