Regulators should'think again'on freight charges

The Rail Freight Group (RFG) has urged the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) to think again about its proposals for freight charging, which are outlined in a recent consultation document. RFG is unhappy at an additional levy that the ORR is proposing on operators moving coal to power stations, iron ore and spent nuclear fuel, which could amount to an extra £60million per year.
