West Coast performance unacceptable, says Virgin

Virgin Trains has told Network Rail that the infrastructure performance it is experiencing on the West Coast Main Line is "unacceptable". Infrastructure problems are occurring along key parts of the WCML and it is not uncommon for passengers to be stuck at Euston waiting for inbound trains to form outbound services. In one recent case, the delays were caused by a double points failure at Watford Jet and track circuit failures near Kensal Green.
