The 6880 Betton Grange Society's Steel, Steam & Stars III gala at the standard gauge Llangollen Railway on April 21-29 will provide the unprecedented sight of locomotives from theTalyllyn and Ffestiniog Railways sharing the same track. Last year, it was announced that the TR's Fletcher Jennings 0-4-OWT No. 2 Dolgoch would be appearing on a length of 2ft 3in gauge track at Carrog next to the standard gauge line. Now, the FR's George England 0-4-OSTT Palmerston has been added, with the 6880 society saying the 150yd narrow gauge line will be dual gauge with a third rail to accommodate the 1 ft 11.5in gauge FR loco.
