Network Rail's three type C21 rail-grinding trains are operated by Loram Maintenance of Way, of Hamel, Minnesota.This company, formerly known as Long Range Mannix, is one of The biggest suppliers of on-track plant equipment and services in North America. Each British-based train has seven cars: two control vehicles with driving cabs, a fluid car with water carrying tanks and workshop, plus four grinding cars.These have 16 grindstones plus dust extraction systems. Maximum permitted speed is 55mph. The three sets are comprised as follows: Set C2101 with Nos. DR79231 -237 to design codes ZW 003A-G - owned by Loram, and sets C2102/103 - with car Nos. DR 79241 -247 and Nos. DR 79251-257 to design codes ZW 004 A-G - owned by Network Rail.
