The smokebox and bufferbeam of eventual new-build 'Patriot', No. 45551 The Unknown Warrior, were bolted together for photographic purposes in the Llangollen Railway's workshops in August. No. 45551 - one of the heritage world's 'Lazarus' locomotives built to re-create working examples of extinct designs - is being produced by the LMS Patriot Project, which has also completed the driving wheels of the Fowler design 4-6-0.
