'Flow Country'timber to move by rail?

A plan to move thousands of tons of timber from forests in the'Flow Country'- a large expanse of peatland and wetland of Caithness and Sutherland - could come to fruition if a final £150,000 tranche of funding can be found. The Strathrail project has been six years in the making and has been developed by Neil Stoddart. It focuses on the felling and movement of trees planted 25-30 years ago, which are now mature and will soon be ready for harvesting.
