Flowers by rail: Hilary Luker and her husband went to Switzerland in 1998 and journeyed round the country by rail in their search for flowers

We like travelling by train and as we wanted to have a plant finding holiday we decided to make use of the Swiss rail network to take us to three different destinations. My husband and I chose the second half of June for our travels. We flew into Zurich in mid June and reached our first base, Montreux, later the same day.
