K&WVR five-year plan includes NRM out-station partnership

The Keighley& Worth Valley Railway has adopted a five-year strategic development plan aimed at securing its future. The proposals - likely to cost around £750,000 - have an added impact, with a central element flowing from the likelihood of the K&WVR and NRM entering into a formal partnership to create an NRM out-station at Oxenhope. The NRM raised the possibility of a relationship with the K&WVR several years ago. Development of the idea continued and acting NRM director Paul Kirkham toured the railway at the end of May.
