On September 18, the 12.00 'Highland Chieftain'service from King's Cross was delayed for two hours at Dunkeld due to an object falling from a tunnel roof south of the station and smashing the driver's windscreen. After the tunnel had been checked, the southbound Inverness to Glasgow train was allowed to go through at 20mph. The northbound ScotRail service for Inverness was allowed through to pick up passengers, arriving in Inverness at 22.15. The 'Highland Chieftain'service then went south to Perth for repair. OBSERVED on September 24, the 09.52 Aberdeen-King's Cross had Crosscountry power car No. 43366 on the rear with No. 43206 at the front. On the same day, the 10.00 King's Cross-Aberdeen was booked at Aberdeen to run e.cs. to Gleneagles to work a Ryder Cup extra to Edinburgh.
