Suggestions elsewhere in the railway press that BR Standard '4MT'No. 80136 could be making a move to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway have been declared premature by new Moors Line manager, Chris Price. Details of the proposed arrangement, which would see the NYMR complete the overhaul of the cash-starved Riddles 2-6-4T, were initially leaked in the railway's online newsletter and resulted in the story making headlines elsewhere. The locomotive is currently at LNWR Heritage, Crewe, in an advanced stage of overhaul, with Mr Price admitting to The RM that the NYMR'tould finish it very quickly". However, he was keen to stress that the move not a foregone conclusion.
