On Thursday, April 9, the 07.10 Virgin Trains East Coast Leeds-Aberdeen service was noted passing through Stonehaven with EMT Class 43 No. 43061 and EC No. 43290, along with the EMT rake of coaches. The service returned south on the 14.52 Aberdeen-King's Cross before working the 23.30 King's Cross-Leeds. On most other occasions when observed in April the set was hauled by EMT power cars Nos. 43045 and 43064.
