NEW trains, faster journey times and improved infrastructure are the three main elements of a new strategic development plan for the Belfast to Dublin 'Enterprise' as set out by Translink and lamrod fireann-lrish Rail (IE). Translink chairman Frank Hewitt and his it counterpart Frank Allen laid out their vision for the 'Enterprise' service at the Bus + Train Week 2018 conference in Belfast on June 8. A three-staged approach, subject to funding, will begin with the introduction of a new fleet of trains to allow for an hourly service between the two capitals.
