Enforcement Challenge: Redefined, Refocused, Reenergized

In 2009, law enforcement officers in the United States reported more than 5.5 million motor vehicle crashes. Although these numbers have been declining, they represent a tremendous amount of law enforcement resources dedicated to responding to and investigating these incidents. The real cost, however, is the impact on citizens and communities. These crashes resulted in 33,808 deaths and more than 2.2 million injuries.
